Specs Eyewear was founded in 2002 by Monte Ysidro who later partnered with Jason Bell.  The two were friends since the fourth grade and grew up together in Benton,KS.  Since then Specs has added Darl Heffelbower as a third partner.

The company started in a local mall in a 10×10 kiosk.  Today Specs has five eyewear stores in Kansas including Derby, El Dorado, and Wichita. Over the last 8 years SPECS has exploded on to the eyewear scene and has become the fastest growing local eyewear retailer and the leading provider for sunglasses. SPECS specializes in Hi-Definition lenses, coatings, and high curved prescription eyewear that local retailers and eye doctors are nervous to make.
